Brian Johnson aka the Liver King, released a six-minute video confessing that after denying steroid use multiple times, he admits he was lying.
Liver King quickly gained popularity last year advocating for an ancestral lifestyle consisting of nine principles, which include regularly consuming organ meat, especially liver. He has almost two million Instagram followers and has profitable companies based on his persona, regularly posting videos showcasing his physique and lifestyle. On November 28, a one-hour video with leaked emails was published, detailing Liver King’s use of steroids and hormone treatments costing $11,000 per month.
In Liver King’s video, titled “Liver King Confession… I Lied,” he admits, “The truth is… I have been willing to do whatever it takes to bring the Ancestral message mainstream… but the road to progress should never compromise one’s integrity.”
“I can be better… I must be better… I will be better starting immediately. I goddam earned the criticism… and you sure as hell deserve this apology,” Brian writes in the description.
Liver King had been accused of using performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) but denied such claims on multiple occasions. In the video, he says, “Liver King, the public figure, was an experiment to spread the message, to raise awareness for the 4,000 people a day who commit suicide, the 80,000 people a day who attempt suicide. Our people are suffering at alarming rates.”
“I made it my mission to model, teach, and advocate for a simple and elegant solution called ancestral living, then nine ancestral principles, so our people no longer have to suffer, so that we can collectively express our highest and most dominant form. This is why I fight. This is why I exist,” Brian explained.
Later in the video, he confesses, “When I talk about the eighty-five percent of people suffering from self-esteem issues, that’s me. I am part of that statistic.”
